Nairobi Seed of Hope

Nairobi seed of hope was the first of our vocational training centres and is the hub for all staff training and the development of new aspects of our program.  Here we bring together staff from the various Seed of Hope centres for discussion of ideas and materials which are then developed into lesson plans, syllabus guidelines and schemes of work by senior staff at Seed of Hope Nairobi.  Once approved the materials are distributed around every centre.

We also partner with local organisations to allow for the further development of Seed of Hope. These may be visiting individuals, potential donors or church/community groups.  It is our desire to form a large network of people who are supporting the work of Seed of Hope.

Seed of Hope centres were created to give teenagers who would otherwise have no hope the possibility of a brighter future.  The syllabus covers three main areas of training – Life skills, Vocational skills and Micro-business skills.  With the combination of these areas of training we make it possible for the students to become independent upon graduation.

Another vital element of our program is counseling and self-esteem development.  Without self-esteem a student will never reach their full potential. With your help we are bringing hope for a brighter future for these girls.
